Easy Apply is a door. Many jobs still require the employer's ATS.
Easy Apply reduces friction for roles that accept it. It does not help when the posting says “Apply on company website” and that site is Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, or another ATS. Volume on Easy Apply alone can leave your best-fit roles unfinished.
What “done” actually means
A finished application is the one the employer's system recorded — with your materials, screening answers, and confirmation. If you only clicked Easy Apply on a role that required the career site, you did not apply there.
