You'll drive transformational, multi-domain initiatives (customer, seller, after sales, data etc) that require both deep US market expertise and the ability to navigate a globally-distributed product organization. You will be Back Market's strongest advocate for the US consumer and sellers — influencing product direction across the company and building frameworks that help every team make better decisions for the American market. You will report to the Head of Product (based in Europe), with a dotted line to the US Director of Marketing for local mentoring and business alignment. This role sits within the US Leadership Group based locally in the NYC office, giving you a direct seat at the table to shape the American market strategy alongside the local business, marketing, and commercial leaders. Your Mission Champion the US market within the global organization by developing an authoritative understanding of US consumers, sellers, and the local refurbished tech ecosystem. Shape and sustain a powerful multi-quarter US product vision informed by competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer insights. Identify and validate unique, emerging growth opportunities tailored specifically to the US market that are positioned for our team to own. From initial discovery through rollout and subsequent iteration, orchestrating alignment across engineering, data, supply, marketing, and operations. Turn strategic vision into an actionable, prioritized roadmap backed by strong business cases and thoughtful trade-offs. Drive high-stakes initiatives from Promote cross-functional synergy by identifying leverage points between global roadmaps and US priorities to advocate for mutual value. You have deep US market expertise. You understand the US consumer, the US tech ecosystem, and what makes this market structurally different from Europe. You've driven transformational, cross-functional initiatives at a domain level (not just squad-level features) delivering outcomes that shaped company strategy. You influence without authority: you can make a compelling case to stakeholders and leaders across geographies and turn them into allies. You are a craft-obsessed product builder. You have rigor in discovery, are precise in requirements, are relentless in iteration. You are comfortable with structural ambiguity: regional teams within global orgs are inherently complex. You don't need a clean org chart to make progress. You are willing to work from our Union Square office (NYC) at least 3 days a week. Why Back Market A clear mission with real stakes: reducing e-waste by making refurbished tech the default choice. The US is central to making that happen at a global scale.
