About this role
Most supply chain roles ask you to run something. This one's asking you to build it.
A major European solar tracker manufacturer, with over 9 GW deployed globally and more than 15 years in the tracker field, has spent years running US procurement through its European head office. That's changing. The US business now has the projects, the budget and the backing to stand up its own supply chain function, and needs someone based in Texas to actually build it.
There's no legacy process to inherit and no existing supplier book to work from. You'd be setting up how procurement runs in the US from the ground up.
What you'll be doing:
Sourcing, qualifying and negotiating with domestic suppliers and subcontractorsEstablishing how purchasing and logistics work together, and leading the existing US logistics teamRunning RFQs and commercial negotiations for solar tracker components across US projectsEnsuring on-time material delivery for ongoing EPC projectsBuilding the processes, systems and supplier relationships from the ground up
What we're looking for:
Considerable procurement or supply chain experience, ideally from renewable energy, EPC, construction or manufacturingA track record of building or setting up a function rather than just running oneComfortable owning procurement and logistics togetherBased in, or open to relocating to, TexasSuitable for senior manager level candidates ready to step up, through to director or head of function level
Package: $130,000 to $170,000 base depending on seniority, plus bonus, 401(k) with company match, and a comprehensive health benefits package.
This is an immediate hiring need for a business with a confirmed pipeline of US project work. For a confidential conversation, get in touch.
