Axle is seeking a Biological Scientist to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) located in Bethesda, MD.

Certifications & Licenses

• Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences or a related discipline.

• Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree.

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in biology or a related field.

• Demonstrates experience working in a laboratory environment.

Field of Study

• Miscellaneous Biology

Software

• Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, and statistical software such as Prism.

Skills

• Demonstrates knowledge of maintaining accurate and detailed records.

• Demonstrates knowledge of proper laboratory disposal methods and safety procedures.

• Professional knowledge of the theories, principles, and methods of scientific specialty or subspecialty and related disciplines, such as biology, microbiology, chemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, virology, genetics

Deliverables:

• Work products and documents related to maintaining accurate, daily records of experiments and results in pen in bound laboratory notebooks - Ad-Hoc

• Work products and documents related to performing a wide variety of complex procedures and techniques - Ad-Hoc

• Work products and documents related to preparing various media, stock supplies, and other reagents for use in the laboratory - Ad-Hoc
