Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join an Adult Acute team at Charing Cross Hospital. This role focuses on supporting patients within a benign ENT service, with a caseload including dysphagia and/or voice disorders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 6 or Band 7 therapist who is confident working independently in an acute setting. The role offers flexibility in working patterns, making it ideal for candidates seeking part-time or adaptable hours.

You will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with complex swallowing and communication needs, supporting their recovery and improving quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with dysphagia and/or voice disorders within an acute hospital setting.• Independently manage a caseload within a benign ENT service.• Deliver evidence-based therapy and rehabilitation programmes tailored to individual patient needs.• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient care planning and reviews.• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional and organisational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:• A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).• HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility) with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).• Experience working with adult patients in an acute setting.• Proven ability to independently manage dysphagia cases.• Desirable: Experience in FEES and/or voice therapy.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible and proactive approach.
